A big hello to H AND L, I'm just getting around to joining your blog, but be assured I have followed your adventures - every culinary and fishing step! I have been weighed down with the curriculum project but as it's now winding up I can follow your trail with great interest. When I was in FNQ, in May, I went to Palm Cove, Trinity Beach, Yorkeys Knob etc - this being while you were just setting out, but it was easy to imagine you heading for the Reef and dodging the salties (I didn't think about pythons!). I saw a good park at Ellis Beach, opposite Double Island, but it seems you have passed by. H your landscape, cityscape and social descriptions are quite excellent. You must have travelled with a geographer at some stage in the past. It's been great to follow your path; Google Earth has been very helpful. Enjoy the warmth of the tropical north. You wouldn't be missing the southern weather at the moment! With best wishes to you both, Roger Harold
This is our second excursion. We enjoyed our first trip in 2009 so much we couldn't wait to get on the road again. This time we have traded in canvas for something a bit more substantial.
